Make them talk about you! You deserve the best treatment

Dental implants are categorised according to their unique areas of application and the jaw. The patient's bone structure and whether the implants are implanted in the cheekbones or the jawbone are the primary determinants of these classifications.

Endosteal Implants:

Endosteal Implants are the most widely used kind of dental implants. They are inserted straight into the jawbone during surgery.

Types:

  • Screw-Type: Shaped like a screw, these implants are the most commonly used.
  • Cylinder-Type: These are cylindrical in shape and are often used in situations where there is less bone available.
  • Blade-Type: These are flat and rectangular, used in cases where the jawbone is too narrow for screw or cylinder implants.

Subperiosteal Implants

Subperiosteal Implants are placed under the gum but on, or above, the jawbone. They are used for patients who have a shallow jawbone and cannot, or do not want to, undergo a bone augmentation procedure.

A metal frame is fitted onto the jawbone below the gum tissue. The frame fuses to the jawbone when the gums recover.

Zygomatic Implants

Zygomatic Implantsare used in cases where the upper jawbone has insufficient bone volume or density. They are anchored in the cheekbone (zygoma) instead of the maxilla (upper jaw).

For patients whose severe bone loss prevents them from receiving standard implants, these lengthier implants offer an alternative.

Mini Dental Implants (MDIs)

Smaller in diameter than regular implants, mini dental implants are less invasive and are often used to stabilize dentures.

Suitable for patients with less bone density or for those looking for a less invasive procedure.

All on Four Dental Implants

All on 4 technique involves placing four implants in the jawbone, which then support a full arch of teeth. This method is often used for patients who need a full set of upper or lower teeth and want a faster, more efficient solution than traditional individual implants.

All on 6 Dental Implants

Six implants are inserted into the jawbone as part of the All-on-Six procedure. Traditional implants made to match the patient's unique bone structure must be used for this procedure. In order to use the All on Six technique, the posterior regions where the implants are positioned must have enough bone density. Because of the density of implant placement, the All-on-Six approach offers a more natural appearance and a greater defence against issues like food entrapment.

Immediate Load Implants (Teeth in a Day)

Immediate Implants allow the placement of a temporary tooth during the same appointment as the implant placement.

Suitable for patients with enough bone and an implant that has enough stability to support immediate placement.

Implant Supported Dentures

All teeth are replaced with complete dentures, which are supported by implants set into the jawbone. In a jaw when all teeth have been lost, missing teeth are replaced with a complete denture. Teeth for a full denture can be extracted. The dentist creates a full denture once every tooth has been lost. Unlike partial dentures, this one is dependent only on the gums.
